Steve Bowen - Testimony on Race to the Top Proposals

Steve Bowen, who runs the Center for Education Excellence at The Maine Heritage Policy Center, spoke Thursday before the Maine legislature's Education Committee in regards to three bills that would act as an application for Maine to receive some "Race to the Top" money that has been made available by the Obama administration.
Steve pointed out that the bills they are proposing do very little meaningful reform at all, and that many states are being much more bold with their reform ideas, putting them in a much better position to receive the available funds and truly impact and their education systems moving forward.
