Advisory: Longley to LePage – An Insider’s Take on Maine’s Budget Process

PORTLAND, Maine – The Honorable H. Sawin Millett, Jr. will join The Maine Heritage Policy Center to share his take, as an expert and former insider, on Maine’s budget process and the financial hurdles awaiting Maine’s taxpayers, Legislature, and Governor in the days ahead.
Millett, through his work in state government, has seen more budget negotiations unfold than perhaps any other public servant in Maine’s history. He has served in the administrations of four different governors (Longley, McKernan, King and LePage) and retired from public service on May 30, 2014.
