End Corporate Welfare! Pursue Real Tax Reform!

Lawmakers on the IDEA Committee are considering a bill created by Gov. Janet Mills that would expand corporate welfare in Maine. Meanwhile, the governor has rammed through a partisan budget and offered an additional $900 million in spending, none of which includes tax cuts for hardworking Mainers. Despite the hard times Mainers are feeling amid persistent inflation, Gov. Mills’ is more focused on giving handouts to businesses than tax relief to Mainers. Use the form below to tell lawmakers on the committee to reject the governor’s corporate welfare scheme, LD 1918, and pursue real tax reform this session.
