Freeing Labor with Grassroots Leadership Academy – Bangor

November 5 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Join us for a presentation and discussion on how to better converse with members of the public about labor issues, including Right-To-Work and rights of public employees under the Janus decision.

Mr. Matthew Hurtt, director of external relationships for Grassroots Leadership Academy will be guiding the conversation. We will examine the claims made by labor unions on the 40-hour work week, child labor laws, and workplace safety standards. We will confront the toughest arguments made against Right-To-Work and provide a vision of the positive role labor unions can play in supporting the individual liberties of workers.

This event is free for all MHPC members and activists. Food for guests will be available starting at 6pm with the presentation to follow. Find us in the Kenduskeag Room in Sea Dog’s Banquet Area.
