Listen: Lawmakers Approach Deadline for Majority Budget


Director of Policy, Nick Murray, joined the WGAN Morning News to discuss the possibility of Democrats and Gov. Janet Mills moving forward with a majority budget within the next week. The budget bill would have to be passed by the end of March for it to take effect in time for the start of the next fiscal year. If it happens before April 1, Democrats won’t need any Republican votes to approve Maine’s next spending package. Listen below.
