Matt, Jake and Harris catch up on two week’s worth of news as they break down what happened on “Swearing in Day” in Augusta, including the selection of Secretary of State and Attorney General. As we all know, Maine is the only state in the country that chooses these positions in the way that we do, and it never fails to reward well-connected insiders over qualified people for the jobs.

We also talk about the recently announced lawsuit against the state over the passage of Question 1 (giving limits to Political Action Committees) this November and the continuing struggles of the Portland Press Herald and Maine media in general.

Finally, we react to the cold-blooded murder of the CEO of United Healthcare in New YOrk City and the revolting reaction from certain politicians who argued that he (and by extension, anyone else running a healthcare company) basically had it coming.
