Maine Policy Institute Announces Hiring of Reporter
Katherine Revello for TheMaineWIre.com

Katherine Revello

PORTLAND, Maine – Maine Policy Institute today announced the hiring of Katherine Revello as a reporter for The Maine Wire, Maine Policy’s online news and opinion service (www.TheMaineWire.com). Revello will report on general news topics in Maine politics as well as investigate the state’s handling of and response to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We’re pleased to add Katherine to our team, said Matthew Gagnon, CEO of Maine Policy Institute. “Her work will help grow our audience and shed light on many issues related to the state’s coronavirus response that have not been explored by the traditional press.”

Revello has degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Maine and her work has appeared in Reason, The Washington Examiner, Huffington Post, the Foundation for Economic Education, and more.

“Maine has always been a special place for me and I’m excited to work for an organization that’s fighting for and shining light on issues of government accountability,” said Revello.

Revello’s first published piece for The Maine Wire on COVID-19 infection and death rates in Maine nursing homes can be read here.

Revello can be reached at krevello@mainepolicy.org
