Garrick Hoffman is the Director of Digital Media at Maine Policy Institute.

As Director of Digital Media, Garrick is responsible for all things media and creative: social media, graphic design, photo + video, podcasting, communications, and more.

Prior to joining Maine Policy, Garrick was a full-time photographer – a profession he continues to practice outside of MPI – and actor, with representation in Maine and Boston.

Garrick began his career as a photojournalist for a variety of free weekly newspapers in Southern Maine in 2017 while working in marketing for Gritty McDuff’s Brewing Co. He has had his work featured in esteemed publications such as Down East Magazine and Time, and has photographed illustrious sociopolitical figures such as Charlie Kirk and Riley Gaines.

Garrick holds a B.A. in Media Studies from the University of Southern Maine, and an A.A. in liberal arts from Southern Maine Community College, where Garrick wrote for the student newspaper, The Beacon, for three years, and served as the executive editor for one.
