Listen: Mills’ out-of-touch budget address
Director of communications, Jacob Posik, joined the WGAN Morning News this week to discuss Gov. Janet Mills’ budget address. Posik said it’s mind-boggling and out of touch for Gov. Mills’ to defend her bloated $10.3 billion budget proposal without ceding ground on spending cuts and tax reform, particularly when members of her own party in the Legislature are calling for the same.
He also discussed a bill sponsored by Sen. Eric Brakey, LD 117, which received a public hearing this week. The measure would reform welfare by prohibiting cash withdrawals with EBT cards. Listen to the full segment below.
