Radical environmental groups are trying to force Maine to adopt California-style electric vehicle regulations that would eventually ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles in the Pine Tree State.
Such a move would have disastrous effects. Many Maine families don’t want electric vehicles and can’t afford them. And since the rule would also impact heavy duty vehicles like plow trucks and semis, the supply chain in Maine could grind to a halt, resulting in millions in losses for businesses and exorbitant prices for consumers.
