RELEASE: Think Tank Comments on Federal Judge’s Ruling that ObamaCare is Unconstitutional
Below is a statement by Tarren Bragdon, Chief Executive Officer of The Maine Heritage Policy Center, on federal Judge Roger Vinson’s decision today that the Individual Mandate, the key provision of ObamaCare requiring most citizens to purchase government-approved health insurance, is an unconstitutional overreach of the federal government’s power:
“Today in Florida, yet another federal court reaffirmed what we have known all along-that the Individual Mandate provision of ObamaCare is an unconstitutional violation of the rights of the American people. Although today’s ruling does not conclude the multi-year debate over the government takeover of health care, it should send a very clear message to the President and his liberal allies in Congress that ObamaCare’s days are numbered.”
