Slow Strangulation: Welcome to the Regulatory State

On December 3rd, it was my very great pleasure to speak to the Knox County Tea Party. My topic was the “The Regulatory State: How We Got Here and How We Stop It”. The ‘regulatory state’ is, of course, the gigantic federal and state administrative bureaucracies that churn out endless regulations controlling everything down to our toilets and light bulbs.

The Administrative State is a pet peeve of mine – I’ve written extensively about it at my personal blog Behind Blue Lines and Jonah Goldberg was kind enough to link to the highlighted post. Here in America, the Administrative State comes to us compliments of the ‘progressive’ movement for very specific philosophical reasons quite at variance with the Founders’ view of our constitutional government.

Here’s my presentation, courtesy of Maynard Stanley, Jr. Thanks, Maynard!
